OSR Scouts join The Three Brooks Nature Conservation Team on a Bat Talk/ Walk

Last evening the OSR Scouts met up with members from The Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group and spent an enjoyable evening walking around the Nature area looking at the work the team had been doing and learning a bit about the 4 types of bat that frequent the area. We learnt about echo location finding which the bats use to avoid obstacles in their flight path.
The types of bat in the area behind Bradley Stoke School are pipistrelle, soprano, Daubenton’s and noctule. We have a leaflet for each of the scouts giving even more information. The scouts made a donation to the team of £41 which was most appreciated by Sara the groups treasurer.
