Tonight on zoom the scouts from the OSR troop in Stoke Gifford tried their hand at chocolate truffle making for Christmas gifts for friends and family or maybe a few just for themselves he he he. The scouts and leaders all had crimbo jumpers and hats on as it is the last session of the year. The instructions and method were emailed out earlier in the week including a shopping list. So chocolate solids, butter and double cream were melted and left to set in the fridge. Then kathryn took the scouts through making cardboard envelope making and then the balling of the truffle mix and covering them in whatever the scouts liked the most. During the cleaning up we had a Kahoot Christmas quiz and then it was wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a better New Year 2021. Stay safe and well all. See group 1 on 6/1/21 7pm. Tonight’s zoom session gave the osr scouts the chance to look closer at gender inequalities and disability awareness. They looked at terminology that is appropriate and challenged themselves with tasks blindfolded and using their non dominant hands. Finally testing their knowledge on Kahoot with high scores showing they’re informed and aware.
