11th of Eleventh and a time for OSR Scouts to remember all things sacrificed.

Our normal troop evening just happens to fall on the 11th November this year and although we couldn’t meet face to face the next best thing was a zoom session remembering why we wear poppies, how scouts got involved on the home front in the great wars, which animals helped the Allies win the war and a comparison with the city of Bristol population and the number killed during WW1.
All this counted towards the poppy badge and unlike normal times where we invite a member of the royal British legion we had Phelpsie do it this year (as a veteran this subject is close to his heart).
