On Monday the Beavers were very fortunate to be allowed in to the Patchway Fire station for a guided tour and to learn all about fire safety. The Beavers learnt about the tings, other that putting out fires, that the fire service might be called out to deal with. We learnt about fire safety in our homes and inspected the main fire engine. All the Beavers (and leaders) were very well behaved and at the end we said a very large THANK YOU to the firemen for letting us into their station.
The Beavers spent Saturday night at the panto watching Cinderella. Everyone was exceeding well behaved and had a great time.
A big thank you to Helen for organising the night, especially the ice cream during the interval. Same again next year please. Tonight the beavers got all creative and Christmasy; decorating chocolate logs with chocolate flavoured butting icing - Because there is no such thing as too much chocolate over Christmas. A big thanks to Jane who showed the Beavers how to make their chocolate log and what it should look like And here are a few photos of the Beavers decorating their chocolate logs and the finished result.
Having had a slice of one all I can say is they are great and contain to calories as its for Christmas With Christmas fast approaching the Beavers have begun to prepare for our annual visit to Osborne Court to perform a couple of Christmas Carols for the residents.
So far we have masters volume, we just need timing and pitch. The beavers all got creative and festive this evening, producing Christmas decorations to go on their trees at home this year. |
