Strategy camp 2022 is over with scouting winning the explorer and scout section competitions. The osr scouts didn’t come in the top 3 so will have to wait and see our finishing position. Everyone had fun and it seems all our sessions on problem solving etc helped a lot. Well done to our team and big ty to lee for giving up his weekend to help out The results are in and OSR scout troop came 28th out of 334 scout and guide teams. What a fantastic achievement and big congrats to the team members Today we arrived at Cirencester Park at midday and set up the mini campsite within the campsite for the strategy competition.
3 of the 4 scouts arrived and set up there beds then it was investigating the facilities. The leaders briefing was later than planned so we spent the time going over the course and issuing the team kit. Tonight saw the final shooting in Lockleaze and archery session in stoke gifford for osr scouts. As last week the troop was split and both groups had a lot of fun and apparently some can hit the target! Big ty to Paul, Claire and Kieran Baker for running the shooting session for us. Plus Paul at the archery. Lovely day weather wise and the scouts were very well behaved. Congrats to all scouts, if any of you would like to take part in the Avon County shooting and archery competition end of September please feel free to let the leaders know. First session after the half term break and the 1st stoke gifford osr scout troop is split with group 1 shooting at scout hut in Lockleaze and group 2 archery in the grounds of st Michael’s school. Next week it’s swap about so everyone gets a go. |
