The Beavers spent Saturday night at the panto watching Cinderella. Everyone was exceeding well behaved and had a great time.
A big thank you to Helen for organising the night, especially the ice cream during the interval. Same again next year please. So it’s Christmas and it wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t visit the Bristol Hippodrome for the pantomime. This year is Cinderella with Brian Conley and Gok Wan (ohh no it isn’t. Ohh yes it is!). The traffic this year wasn’t half as bad, I know that put a few parents off but for those here the atmosphere is electric and the seats are fantastic all for £12 wow. Just wow. Ty all for working so hard at your scouting this year, sit back and enjoy your end of term activity! Tonight the beavers got all creative and Christmasy; decorating chocolate logs with chocolate flavoured butting icing - Because there is no such thing as too much chocolate over Christmas. A big thanks to Jane who showed the Beavers how to make their chocolate log and what it should look like And here are a few photos of the Beavers decorating their chocolate logs and the finished result.
Having had a slice of one all I can say is they are great and contain to calories as its for Christmas Tonight was the last of the two Christmas Cake making sessions and we couldn’t have done it without Janet and Jane your both amazing! So tonight the cake mix had been baked and it was time for the fun bit. Marzipan and icing plus the personal decorating of each scouts cake. Jane was on hand with her coloured icing and cutters/scissors/tools. I think you’ll all agree with the leaders that the finished products look good enough to eat! |
