1st Stoke Gifford Scout group is made up of one Beaver colony, one Cub Pack and two Scout Troops.

We meet once a week in either the Old School Rooms – opposite St Michael’s Church or in St Michael’s School.

Beavers meet on a Monday

Cubs meet on a Monday

Both Scout groups meet on a Wednesday.

The group began in the Early 90′s with just the one Cub Pack and15 members. We now run at about 100 members and have a waiting list for all sections. As a Group we do like to go camping, with the Beavers generally having two sleepovers a year (one of which Father Christmas attends). The Cubs try to go camping twice a year, under canvas, doing a range of activities; Climbing, Archery, shooting, etc. The Scouts have a couple of main camps each year and can often be found going off for one night walking events. Later this year both Scout Troops will be visiting Brownsea Island- home of the first every Scout camp and one of our favourite places to camp
