OSR session tonight during mental health awareness week the leaders had a surprise. Before the lock down we had a box at the osr that the scouts could pop out and write a worry on a post-it note but since we are not face - face this could no longer be done. The leaders bought the troop a server and created a virtual Worry Box website. The first part of this evenings 80 minute session was an explanation of how it works, the scouts downloaded the worry box and registered so if they need to leave a message they can.
Then we had fun fun fun firstly playing a 9 game beetle drive championship with the top scouts being Noah, Jamal, Billy and Leuan. Fab dice game which the scouts has to print off the beetle form.
Next we played Pairs. Lots of things are called pairs but are a single item. So the scouts has to find 10 around their houses. Paul GSL won with 13 items from glasses to shorts.
Finally we had a fast paced round or 2 of Red and Black. The scouts each had to hold either a Red item in the air or a Black item. The turn of a card either saw them eliminated or through to the next round.
The leaders had as much fun as the scouts. Keep safe all!
