Wednesday evening saw the 1st stoke Gifford osr Scouts returning to face to face scouting not quite as we know it but back!
The 3 groups of scouts socially distant with leaders crossed the old Severn Bridge over to visit Wales and returned to Aust services. Lots of laughter and even more chatting was fantastic to witness. The scouts have all grown so much and it was obvious that they had all missed meeting up and were genuinely happy to be back together.
There was light rain during the 2 hour walk but the wind was warm and made the walk pleasant. The lights from the industrial parks and the smoke from Avonmouth was obvious but the traffic on the bridge was light and the vibration under foot as lorry’s drove by was calming.
Next week we are back in the OSR for our first indoor meeting, we can’t wait.
