The Avon Scouts county cooking competition is taking place this year at Keynsham scout HQ and OSR scouts are taking the challenge against 11 other teams from all over Avon. Mrs P is running the team who include Tia, Beth, Matthew and Ollie with Cameron in reserve if something happens on the day.
First we have the practice session at St. Michael's school where the full 3 course meal was prepared, cooked and tasted by several of the teachers who all gave it a massive thumbs up! So on the day of the county competition the OSR scouts arrived and set up their area, prep time was half an hour then 2 hours of cooking followed by another half an hour to put the dishes altogether. The judges were looking at teamwork, difficulty as well as the finished product. With 244 points Stoke Gifford won and will be entered into the regional comp held at Shurdington, Glos on Sunday 26th March 2017 the runners up were 2nd Frampton with 219 points. Well done to all!
