Bank holiday weekend sees the OSR Scouts taking part in an Easter Egg hunt. During the lock down it’s important that the scouts have lots of fun and this was certainly that. Reading clues, racing around their houses and finally finding the treasure! No face to face scouting but when did that ever OSRs troop. This Easter weekend saw 2/3 of the troop camping out in their gardens, cooking meals and taking part in activities. The scouts had a lot of fun, it wasn’t as good as a normal troop camp but time under canvas is great to relax and chill out. Great job all. So the OSR Scouts have been set the necker flip challenge which is going viral around the world following our online zoom meeting last night let’s see how many of the troop can do it! Tonight was OSR scouts second online Zoom session and although there were a few technical problems the troop managed to take part in 2 Kahoot! Quizzes (one created by the troop leader and one on logos). We also spoke about the scouts week during lockdown and a few had taken part in the JOTI Special Event over the weekend. Scouting is about the young people having fun and whilst they’ve all been given challenges and badge work if they have time just giving them the opportunity to meet up and chat was fabulous. |
